Write it in Red

write it in red

carve and cut the vein so
all the blood lets

hold fast the pen
to leave indelible stains

write it in red
so the page remembers
how trees (of which the world
is not worthy) were
pulped, throttled
cut and sawed in two
mulched then flattened
through the press

wait to see that
words coagulate and
dry, clotting
so that the wound is never
stanched

write in red
so the whole world knows it is
bleeding

Relative work that expounds on having a respec t for nature while we murder it. Thought provoking. Check out 1markt.wordpress.com, entries under social commentary.
